The Chamber of Commerce congratulates the Gibraltar Football Association on its entry to UEFA. Their persistence and patient team approach has paid off and it is gratifying to see that the GFA’s application to join UEFA has been awarded on its merits alone.

Entry to UEFA will be good for the continued development of football in Gibraltar. Not only in terms of the increased investment in facilities, but it will also be good for Gibraltar’s economy as the number of teams coming to play here will bring visits from their supporters and families as well. All of these people will see the range and variety of attractions that Gibraltar has to offer.

Recognition is always welcome but none more so than when it is so deserved.
